Don Freeman

When I was a little girl my teacher would read to me Corduroy, and I loved it.  The pictures were so pretty and the story was really cute.

This is the reason for which I chose to study the author and illustrator Don Freeman.  Don Freeman was the author and illustrator of many popular books for children, including Corduroy, A Pocket for Corduroy, and the Caldecott Honor Book Fly High, Fly Low.  Don Freeman died in 1978, but his work is still living and being enjoyed by many children.

From his webpage, that was created by his son we can all learn a lot more of Don Freeman's life.
