Sunney Dooley

Sunny Dooley was a great Chautauqua story teller.  Before her performance I had never hear a Chautauqua story, and she made it seem really easy and fun.  I have to admit though she is a pro at it.  She could go from speaking Navajo to speaking English in her story.  She could also go from one character to another, and it was really easy to understand.  I learned a lot about the Navajo Culture with her story, and that was really meaningful to me.  I liked how she explained everything with very good detail.

Harriet Tubman

Her Chautauqua story was great as well.  Francis left the classroom and Harriet Tubman came in.  Her costume was great and her story was really good.  I got to learn a lot about her life and her family.  The best part of it was when she explained how she escaped during the night.
